Will YOU HEAR THEM?

Five Life Learning Academy students ranging in age from 15 to 18 took to the streets of their neighborhoods with an iPod touch using Hipstamatic's social sharing app OGGL, to tell stories that they feel the world needs to hear.

“When I was younger I witnessed things no kid should see. It took me getting locked up to change my lifestyle,” said 18-year-old Demond. “One day I was in court and the judge called me a ‘menace to society.’ She told me I had two sides of me, and that it’s up to me to decide what kind of guy I want to be.”

The students didn't hold back. They showed both vulnerability and strength in their stories. They have been working very hard this semester to capture extremely personal moments that they eager to share with the world. The students will be present at the gallery to stand proudly by their work.

So etch the date into your calendar, grab some friends, and head on over to Hipstamatic to start your Friday Night out with some awesome student art and a drink on the roof!

The fire pit will be burning, the DJ will be turnt up and the photos will be plenty.

There will be a $5 suggested donation at the door to benefit the W.H.Y. Project.

RSVP-ing ensures your name will be on the list, and lets us know to expect you. Can't wait to see ya there!
